SIDS initiated a Pre-Primary School to ensure the holistic development of children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs, creating a strong base for lifelong learning and wellbeing. Started on 02/06/2018 with 15 students, the school provides a safe, caring, and stimulating environment. Supported by community contributions and organizational funds, students receive uniforms, books, and learning materials. Considering students’ future, SIDS expanded the initiative by starting a Primary School in 2022–23, and both schools are now successfully running.

In the remote and climate-vulnerable Sundarbans, ICDS centres suffer from severe shortages of basic learning and infrastructural resources. Under the TLM program, SIDS supplied tables to six Anganwadi centres in Pathar Pratima block, providing four tables to each centre. This support addresses long-standing gaps in early childhood education facilities, helping Anganwadi Workers deliver better pre-school education and care. Strengthening such foundational resources is vital to improve cognitive development, nutrition services, and learning outcomes for young children.
