Water and Sanitation

Clean Water for Healthy Lives:

Water is a fundamental human need essential for life, health, and dignity. Every person requires 20–50 litres of safe water daily for drinking, cooking, and hygiene. Access to clean water prevents deadly diseases like diarrhea, malnutrition, and malaria. Since the human body is 60% water, its importance is undeniable. To meet local needs, the organization has installed tube wells over the last three years, ensuring safer water for all age groups.

Promoting Health and Dignity through Improved Sanitation:

Good sanitation creates a healthy living environment, protects natural resources like water and soil, and ensures safety, dignity, and well-being for all. Using toilets prevents the spread of germs and safeguards community health, especially when combined with good hygiene practices such as regular hand washing. Over the last three years, SIDS has constructed individual toilets in Dakshin Laxminarayanpur village using donor funds, ensuring proper utilization for lasting community benefit.
